Reaching Out to Tenants in Your Building
- The best way to let other tenants know about starting a union is talking to them.
- Visit your neighbours door to door and invite them to the tenant meeting.
- Ask fellow tenants what their concerns are. Keep track so you can find common issues across the building.
- Leave a flyer at doors that do not answer so you let them know tenants are getting organized and having a meeting!
- Make a list of people committing to come to the meeting with their address and phone number, and remind them the day before with a call or visit.
- Some buildings have existing WhatsApp or Facebook groups – look to see if any exist and post about the meeting there.
