• Connect with other members, groups of experienced, organized tenants who can help you build power.
• Don’t just go target your landlord, go after the laws that let landlords exploit us.
• Build a long-term tenant and community movement that can bring about real change.
• Don’t just win victories for your building or neighbourhood, fight for tenants and low-and-moderate income people across the country.
• Just like individuals are stronger in a group – a local tenant group that is a part of a wider tenant network has strength to hold government and corporations accountable.
• Similarly, a community union that joins tenants and low-and-moderate income homeowners is even more powerful.
